intoplace

For summer camps

Your camper lists, forms and schedules, in place by lights out.

You keep the camper list, the registration forms, the supplies list and the duty sheet, and you juggle them by hand after the campers are asleep. Intoplace reads them as they are, shows you what you need to see, and works out the plans from a few plain sentences.

Then it decides

Cabins and night duty take the most thought. Say what matters, and it works out a plan and shows you before anything changes.

Keeping it going

When something new comes in, it asks the right person

A workflow watches for what changes. It never changes a plan on its own: it asks, and the view updates when they answer.

1. It notices

Abena’s swim test form comes back.

2. It asks, in their inbox · Kofi, lifeguard

Mark Abena’s swim test as done?

Kofi says yes

3. The view updates

4 campers have no swim test yet

No swim test, by cabin

What camp directors ask us first

Are children's health notes kept private?
Yes. A note's words never show on cabin lists, night-duty sheets or the activity schedule. You and the nurses can see which campers carry an EpiPen. Counselors see only that a camper has a note, and who to ask.
Does anything go to families?
No. Intoplace is for your staff. Nothing is sent to families.
Will it fill in gaps on its own?
No. It works only from the files you give it. If something is missing, it asks you.
Can it change a plan behind my back?
No. Every change is shown to you first, and you pick Keep or Undo.

Try it with your camper sheet.

Bring last summer's lists and forms, color codes and all. Messy is fine.

For the team (notes, not part of the site)
  • Domain template. This is the domain page. Schools, food banks, events and care homes reuse it: one data file each in web/lib/site/, the same DomainPage component.
  • Pregenerated. Every page is pregenerated and hand-checked. Nothing on the site is made live.
  • Pain pages. The anchors double as pain pages: /camps#swim-tests, /camps#friend-requests, /camps#night-duty and /camps#activity-schedule.
  • True moves. Each result and each change is worked out from the same invented data, with the sentences shown, so the counts are true. Timings are illustrative.
